Manage Your Inbox with Snooze Features
This book is full of tools to help you celebrate Fight Procrastination Day on September 6, everything from top task-list tools to keeping track of your time. Sometimes your problem is not procrastination… it’s just not having enough time in the day to get things done.
Professionals spend about three hours a day mucking around in email. One way to clear out your inbox is to make use of the snooze feature in Outlook and Gmail or whatever email tool you’re using. I prefer a service called FollowUpThen. When I have an email in my inbox that I don’t need to deal with right away, I can simply forward it to an email address like “twoweeks@followupthen.com” or “Friday@followupthen.com” or any other time period that I need to snooze the email. At the appointed time, the email comes back, and I can either deal with it or snooze it again.
